Ashta Lakshmi Sametha Sri Lakshmi Narayana Swamy Devasthanam

The topography of this Punya Kshetra though not as vast as the infinitude of the Archamurti Sri Lakshmi Narayana Swamy's, it is enshrining atleast all the major deities to be seen and offered prayers with boundless spiritual fervour. And all the temples are situated strangely enough in a row beginning with the Ashtalakshmi temples built recently and it is regarded as the second of its kind in Andhra Pradesh, the first being in Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad

  • Ashta Lakshmi Temple: It has eight separate exclusive temple's for Mother Mahalakshmi's eight distinct aspects around the central temple in which is enshrined Sri Lakshmi Narayana Swamy's icon and Kubera Lakshmi to his right. There is adequate space for either Pradakshanam or angapradashanam to every shrine.

  • The second shrine is the august Sri Lakshmi Narayana Swamy. It is built with all the inseparable Vaastu Sastra like Garbha Griha, Antarala, Mukhamandapam, Dwajasthambam etc. And all are tastefully built and decorated with sculpture fine with the heartly co-operation of the high souled village elders.

  • The third important place is the Dasavathara Pushkarini lying to the North of the main temple at a distance of some 500 feet. It has in its campus all the adorable divinities one in each in separate modest temples.

  • Entering through the gate, there lies to the west, the Sudarsana Chakratalwar Sannidhi. Its specialty lies in its receiving pujas both from the fore and the rear. It is adorned with Yoga Narasimha Swamy icon in the rear. This type of conception and construction are rare, so visit worthily.

  • Next worthily seeing place that draws the devotees is Sri Bhaktha Anjaneya Swamy's temple. It it also modest and simple yet significant.

  • In between the above two, is erected a superb 21-foot high Dasavatara icon of unsurpassable beauty. Its uniquiness lies in Maha Vishnu's ten incarnations through symbols. This august Vigrah bears Brahma icon on the navel and Maheswara on the chest.

  • The Nakshatravana lying behind this is quite exotic garden embodying the Vigrahas of Trimuthis with their Deveris installed on a high platform in the fore. It is surrounded by 27 trees representing the 27 stars excercising their sway over the destinies of mankind.

  • The Vidya Ganapathi's mandapam is situated to the north side of the Pushkarini. All invariably visit and offer pradakshanams to his archamurthy.

  • There are Saptamatruka icons erected under a tree on a 4 foot high platform.

  • The Navagraha mandapa is next in importance to be visited.

  • The Sthalavrikshas of this Divyakshetra are seen in an enclosure. They are Pipul tree, Neem tree and Bilva tree. People make pradakshanams to them in wet clothes after bath in the Pushkarini.

  • Grama Devata Gangamma's icon is installed in a small mandapam. She reveals here ugra drusti, but is very kind to the people and saved people from the terrible Cholera disease once. Hence people are worshipping with great devotional zeal.
